DALLAS PHOTOGRAPHER
My name is Daniel Motta. I’m a photographer in Dallas, Fort Worth, and the surrounding area.
I specialize as a Dallas headshot photographer, commercial and advertising photographer, editorial portrait photographer, architectural photographer, product photographer, and event photographer.
Clients describe my work as professional, well-lit, descriptive, sharp, true to color, and highly marketable. I have a Dallas studio that is near you, known as Daniel Motta Photography.
This page is an introduction to my professional photography services. Discover what I do below, and how my work can help you put your best foot forward.
DALLAS HEADSHOT PHOTOGRAPHER
As a Dallas headshot photographer, I love helping professionals make themselves more marketable. Clients use me for corporate, executive, and business headshots for multiple purposes, such as framed office photos, publications, digital images, and social media pages.
As my client, I can shoot headshots in a professional studio while offering single high-quality shots, or multiple samples for different settings and locations. I can also take one-off headshots for specific staff members or albums for your entire team–perfect for rebranding your business.
My photography focuses on making headshots look natural, authentic, and true to life. I use lighting to capture the subject’s essence and help them look their best. You will be amazed at the difference proper lighting and the studio environment can make.
If you don’t want to travel to my location, that’s okay. I can come to you wherever you need me, whether you need headshots for a corporate event at a hotel or seminar. I work speedily in a friendly manner, helping your people relax and put on their best smiles. Also, my affordable pricing structure meets most budgets whether you're a business or individual.
I believe a great headshot is about more than looking professional–it should also capture the subject’s confidence and approachability. The best photos work on LinkedIn profiles, company websites, or speaking engagement itineraries.
Because of this, I strive to create a relaxed atmosphere so your people’s personalities shine through and represent your organization in the best light. I understand that being in front of a camera can be intimidating for some people, so I focus on making the process relatable and enjoyable. I provide friendly guidance on posing and expression and take photos from multiple angles to produce headshots that make you and your organization proud.

dallas commercial & advertising photographer
I am also a Dallas commercial and advertising photographer who can meet most budgets. My work tells a story about your product and helps you create a brand identity for lasting impressions.
When I take on a project, I custom-tailor it to meet your conditions. I aim for the final images to align with the vision, so it doesn’t matter if you are launching a new product or showcasing a space, I can assist.
My job is also to bring creativity and technical expertise to your project. I pay attention to the small details, including the tone of the images, and how they fit your brand. Whatever I shoot for you will feel natural and in touch with your philosophy.
The commercial photography I produce is useful for multiple industries and styles. For example, I enjoy architectural shoots that capture beautiful interiors and outdoor spaces. I also love new merchandise and making it look as good as possible. Portraiture plays a key role in my commercial photography services. Done well, it can tell stories, shape narratives, and help your brand excel.
Of course, I understand that every business is different, so I never take a one-size-fits-all approach. I plan every session according to your requirements, playing with lighting and image settings to ensure I execute your branding needs.
You will notice my collaborative approach as you work with me on commercial and advertising photography. I operate alongside your team, helping you with everything from lighting to setting selection. Together, we can bring beauty and consistency to your visuals, helping you stand out.
My portfolio showcases more of my commercial and advertising photos. For me, this branch of photography goes beyond taking pictures by generating visuals that make you proud of your enterprise. Let’s work together to bring your vision to life and make your project a reality.
DALLAS EDITORIAL PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHER
Finding a Dallas editorial portrait professional can be challenging, even for long-term Dallas residents and businesses. Fortunately, I specialize in editorial portraits, helping you tell your story, whether you want an individual shot, one for the family, or one for commercial purposes.
I serve the city of Dallas, nearby Fort Worth, and surrounding communities from my purpose-built studio. I work with magazines, agencies, and brands demanding the highest-quality shots for publications. At the risk of tooting my own horn, my work has appeared in D Magazine, one of Dallas’s best-known publications, a testament to my professional approach.
But don’t worry: I’m not as scary as I sound. I believe in taking great photos and seeing where it takes my clients.
Editorial portraits require a different setup from conventional headshots. Their purpose is to tell more of a story instead of merely assisting with identification. Therefore, I include more personality and creativity under your direction, whether that means a bold stylized shot for a magazine or a natural one for a family photo album.
Clients describe my editorial portraits as “authentic” and “engaging.” My portrait pricing is also pretty reasonable. I capture the subject’s essence while maintaining the editorial standards of the publication or magazine.
Tight deadlines aren’t a worry, either. I work efficiently on-site and in the studio, working with your creative team if necessary. I believe in prioritizing the location to ensure everything is in place before a shoot begins, helping it perform even better.
Therefore, if you are an editor or creative agency requiring engaging editorial portraits, I’d love to help. My job is to bring your artistic and creative vision to life, providing you with photographs designed to stand out in print. We can discuss design, layout, or anything else when we meet–it’s entirely up to you.

DALLAS ARCHITECTURAL PHOTOGRAPHER
Architectural photography should be about making the design and space look compelling. It’s about bringing buildings alive and giving them personalities that resonate with others.
I care deeply about achieving this balance. I know that high-rise apartment buildings have a different aesthetic than warm, cozy cottage interiors.
As always, buildings have elements of yin and yang. While the modern skyscraper is cool and metallic, it can also have warm and inviting elements (something that is critical for developers looking to sell units). Meanwhile, small townhouses are welcoming, but still benefit from technology and design innovations.
I work with numerous clients in Dallas and Fort Worth, including property investment companies, commercial real estate firms, designers, architects, and business owners. Part of the joy of architectural photography is capturing the essence of buildings and bringing them to life. I like to work around themes and concepts that appeal to you and then develop artistic photography that makes buildings appeal more to target audiences.
I approach each building differently and use editing software where necessary to achieve these results. This combination of in-person expertise and after-the-fact tinkering allows me to capture buildings more as “scenes” and less as brick-and-mortar monoliths.
I’ve found that this approach allows me to do justice to buildings more than taking them at face value. I capture the essence of what I see but bring it out in a new light that will inspire tenants, buyers, and other stakeholders you care about.
Of course, I’ll be here, working with you closely during the photography session. You can call me about your expectations and what you want me to achieve at any time. Moreover, I can provide you with consultations beforehand for more guidance.
You can work with me on a range of projects–I’m always happy to help. I feel at home photographing modern office buildings, bathroom interiors, and even unconventional structures, like warehouses. I like to approach these tasks creatively while following your guidance and instructions. You can tell me to generate true-to-life images or more complex scenes with detailed lighting and new angles.

DALLAS PRODUCT PHOTOGRAPHER
I also work with clients on product photography, one of the most challenging areas for professionals like me. Taking compelling pictures of these objects isn’t something you should leave to amateurs.
The problem is that product photography isn’t purely about taking great photos (a mistake many professionals make). Instead, it is about making items stand out. They should pop off the screen or page, enticing consumers to buy them.
I take this latter approach when working with business and startup clients in Dallas and Fort Worth. My goal isn’t merely to generate an image but to ensure it looks fantastic on websites, social media channels, and print publications. Photos should be as much about marketing as they are about art.
I work with businesses of varying sizes in the Dallas area. Some companies want power shots for a single product or prototype, while others require hundreds of photos.
You can use me for small detailed photography (such as jewelry) or larger more complex items requiring lighting and staging, such as electric off-road vehicles or complex electronics products. I tailor my approach to fit your project’s unique requirements, whether you need clipped backgrounds for magazine placements or in-context photos for lifestyle purposes.
Lighting and angles make all the difference in product photography. Therefore, I focus on professional techniques that delineate colors and sharp details, allowing products to sparkle, wherever you sell. I can provide a few key images for a marketing campaign or hundreds of photos for a new online store selling bespoke products.
I particularly enjoy photography craft products for sites like Etsy. These provide even more opportunities to tell stories and make your wares stand out in a crowded marketplace.
Do you need a product photographer with many years of experience in the industry? If so, I’d love to help. I can assist you in capturing images that sell inventory by themselves while providing customers with a realistic impression of what to expect.
My latest product photography examples are in my portfolio. It shows what’s possible, even with the simplest or most mundane items. Like power cords and plastic tubs.
DALLAS EVENT PHOTOGRAPHER
Finally, I like to work with clients to produce stunning event photography. The images I capture ensure that you never forget the occasion.
Event photography is perhaps the most challenging skill for photographers to master because the situation is constantly changing. You can’t pause events or rearrange them for the perfect shot: you must work with what they give you.
Furthermore, you need to be ready when the action inevitably arrives. Sometimes, there’s a split second when a great shot is available before it vanishes forever.
That’s where I can help you. I specialize in capturing the essence of public events, including parties, corporate gatherings, conferences, networking events, award ceremonies, gala dinners, and product launches. My role is to pluck the most special and beautiful moments and capture them on film for time immemorial.
I don’t believe this instinct is something you can train. Instead, it comes from endless curiosity and an eye for detail. As a photographer, I am always there to capture the perfect snap, whenever it becomes available.
Furthermore, I bring your photos together to tell a story, whether candid interactions, keynote speakers on pulpits, or balloons tumbling from the ceiling in celebration. I look for ways to create themes that help with post-event marketing and hype, allowing you to get the most out of it.
I know that events move quickly and that there are no second chances. Therefore, I’m like a ghost, fluttering around in the background, taking photos that capture moments and allow you to tell people what made your event special.
My event photography captures specific scenes, like group photos, crowd shots, and event booths. Simply tell me where you want me to focus before the event starts.
Remember, I bring the same level of professionalism to events regardless of size. Most importantly, my event pricing doesn't break the bank either. Everything I do is tailored to your requirements. Talk to me today or view my event photography work in my portfolio.
WHY PHOTOGRAPHY CLIENTS CHOOSE ME, DANIEL MOTTA
I’m a little different from regular photographers in Dallas. I believe in what I do and that we should have fun doing it.
What sets me apart? I think it comes back to my ability to make clients feel comfortable working with me. Photography works best when everyone feels relaxed, so it is a top priority.
I’m always mindful that people can be nervous in front of a camera, even if they are top professionals in their fields. That’s why I apply some photographers’ bedside manner, so to speak, whether clients need new headshots for company websites or photography at a large event.
I also believe in a friendly, flexible approach to work. No two clients are alike–that’s a truism–but everyone prefers relaxation over feeling anxious. As such, I work around you, fitting photography to your needs. I can adjust the angle, lighting, or pose, guiding you through each element to achieve the best results. I can also work around hectic schedules, helping you check off your photography goals while getting everything else done. I have a unique, almost supernatural ability to be in the right place at the right time.
Of course, this is only possible because of how long I’ve been in the industry. I have over ten years of experience working on multiple photography projects, including advertising, portraits, and event photography. For me, it’s about meeting with clients and ensuring they get the service they want.
Over time, this experience has taught me to be patient and understanding. Photography is less about the perfect angle and more about extracting emotion and movement from subjects to infuse images with energy.
My background in editorial, commercial, product, and architectural photography is also useful. I bring a trained eye to each new challenge, helping you get shots that look polished and true to life. And because I really care about what I do, I’m always on the lookout for new ways to create visual excitement.
